Sibling Doula
As a sibling doula, I use my many years of experience in childcare - both as a preschool teacher and a nanny - to help ease your older children into life with a new baby. I come towards the end of your pregnancy to meet you and your children, ensure they will be comfortable with me, and, if you wish, talk with them about birth and babies in a child-friendly way. I will be your on-call childcare for when you go into labor, no matter what time of day! And I can be there when your older children meet the newest addition to the family, giving them extra attention during what can be an overwhelming time.
My sibling doula package includes:

Two 2hr "get to know you" visits, both taking place during the last trimester

On-call 24/7 starting from 38 weeks until the birth

24 hours of continuous childcare; additional hours after 24 are $20/hr

For hospital or birth center births, option to have me drive sibling(s) to the birthing place to meet the baby, so the partner doesn't have to leave the birthing parent and the new baby

For homebirth, I can stay with the family to help facilitate the first meeting and to give the older sibling(s) a little extra attention, allowing the parents to bond with their newest little one!
Investment $800 (50% retainer due at booking)
(Add on an extra prenatal visit for $100)
Sibling TLC
After the birth of a new baby, sometimes siblings can feel a little left out. Even with ample preparation on your part, they must be thinking "who is this new person and why are they taking so much of my parents' attention?!" This is where I can help! With my many years of experience with young children, I can facilitate friendly feelings towards the new baby by providing siblings some extra TLC during those busy first few weeks. No more feeling guilty about having to constantly hold the baby and not giving enough attention to your older children. No more resentment from siblings because the baby is taking too much of your attention. I come with arts and crafts, fun toys to borrow, trips to the park, and even outings for older children to places like trampoline parks, pottery classes, and museums!
Each visit is $90 and is 3 hours
(10% discount when you purchase 5 TLC visits)
(Client is responsible for the cost of outings. Any outings and associated costs will be discussed prior to the visit.)
